
2012 Green Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International April 20 and 21
What: A two-stage road rally and an Electrathon race.
Where : Watkins Glen International
When:
Fri. April 20 : Rally Stage 1 :130 mile TSD fuel economy road rally for all
classes of road vehicles on the WGI short course
Sat. April 21 : Rally Stage 2: 140 mile TSD fuel economy rally on public roads.
Both road rallies are conducted at highway speeds and hosted by the Glen
Region . The charity rally is named after Doris Bovee, who was a Glen Region
member, rally enthusiast, and an environmental advocate.

Electrathon race will be held at 2 PM, Sat. April 21. It is sanctioned and
run by NYelectrathon. www.NYElectrathon.com Single seat Electric vehicles from
high schools powered by the battery equivalent of 1 hp will have their own
infield track, racing at speeds of around 30 mph. Saturdays activities

- Traditional TSD rally instructions; vehicles to be flagged off in 5 second
intervals
- Self odometer check after two laps
- Pottybreak/control in 50 pit stalls control workers record time of
arrival
- Being on a closed course, average speed will be easy to determine
- Corner workers will be on each station
- Possible black flagging of violators
- Fuel will be topped off at beginning and end to calculate fuel consumption
- $75 private entrants, $150 business entrants
Volunteers are needed. You will see some very interesting cars
like
diesel hybrids.
